This stunning one-of-a-kind Malachite free form measures approximately 5" x 4" x 3" tall and weighs approximately 1.75 pounds. Its polished surfaces reveal an extraordinary landscape of natural Malachite patterns, from large concentric circles and sweeping bands to intricate clusters of smaller orbicular formations. Deep and vibrant greens are accented by occasional light blue veining, adding another beautiful layer of color and interest.

One of the most unusual features is found on the back. Rather than being a completely solid mass, the piece has a large natural hollow area that reveals how the Malachite formed as an overgrowth around other material. The contrast between the highly polished exterior and this more raw, open backside makes the specimen fascinating from every direction — and because Malachite is typically valued in part by weight, much of the weight of this piece is concentrated in the spectacular Malachite formations you actually see.

Malachite is traditionally associated with transformation, protection, personal growth and the courage to move through meaningful change. Sometimes called a stone of transformation, it is believed to help bring patterns and emotions into greater awareness so they can be acknowledged rather than carried unconsciously forward.  Its rich green color also connects Malachite symbolically with the heart, growth and renewal. It is often used when working with intention around creating change while remaining connected to what matters most.

The natural formation of this particular piece makes its symbolism especially compelling. Layer upon layer of Malachite grew over an earlier surface, eventually creating something substantial and beautiful while still preserving evidence of how it formed. 

The hollow backside doesn't feel like something missing. Instead, it reveals part of the stone's story — growth occurring around what was already there, leaving behind an extraordinary record of change. From the front we see the finished patterns; from the back, we glimpse something of the process that created them.

Display this piece where it can occasionally be turned and explored rather than viewed only from the polished front. The dramatic patterns make it a wonderful statement specimen, while the natural hollow backside offers an entirely different perspective on its formation. Malachite is also traditionally used in meditation and intention work centered around transformation, courage, protection and meaningful personal growth.
