Pyrite in Serpentine Obelisk

A striking one-of-a-kind Pyrite in Serpentine obelisk from Peru, measuring approximately 6" tall and weighing approximately 2/3 pound. Its elongated, tapered form showcases soft green Serpentine patterned with naturally occurring metallic Pyrite, creating a beautiful contrast that changes on every side.

Serpentine is traditionally associated with transformation, renewal and connection to the earth. Its grounding energy is thought to encourage us to release what has become unnecessary and move forward with greater ease.

Pyrite has long been associated with prosperity, confidence and manifestation. Its strong, energizing presence is traditionally believed to encourage action, determination and an abundant mindset.

I have a special connection to this piece because it comes from Peru, and I had the opportunity to meet the family who mines this material when our paths crossed at the Tucson Gem Show. Knowing something about the people and place behind a stone makes an already beautiful piece feel even more meaningful to me.

Together, Serpentine and Pyrite offer an interesting balance: the grounding and transformational qualities of Serpentine paired with Pyrite's energy of confidence, possibility and abundance.
